Glass is my passion.
I’ve been working with glass since 1986. I first learned stained glass and leaded glass. I then bought a kiln for fusing glass and I experimented with a torch to make jewelry. I sand blasted glass, electroplated glass, I learned how to cast glass and paint on glass. The last technique I learned was how to blow glass. I was at OSU when my adviser told me to stop learning techniques and start making art. So using all these glass techniques together with the painting skills, that I had learned while getting my associates degree I made my first fine art series, and realized that this was what I wanted to do....
make series and tell stories.
After I made my first piece of stained glass, I knew that glass would be my medium. In 2006 I graduated from Sinclair Community College and in 2008, I was 49, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a BFA in Glass and the journey continues.
